  1. I have done some embellishing — with the most success (I thought) with sequins of all things! But mostly I like to add tons of thread work with FMQ and thread applique!

  2. Hi Janice 🙂 I've to say that I'm quite shy when I have to embellish, sometimes I use hand embroidery, sometimes beads and few times I've tried foiling, but usually I'm afraid of add too much so I end up adding not enough 🙂

  3. My embellishment for the most part, is my thread work. I may use metallics or Super Brights or an irridesant thread. I bead sparsely but my real love is to add seashells and bits of corral from beach walks. I may also couch some intersting fibers.

  4. Been enjoying this new blog idea. I luv to embellish and use all of the above !! Right now am looking for beads to embellish a wall hanging. I have even used twigs in some of my work with a southwestern feel. Not sure yet how this one will end up – it will be for a man so will have to control myself some. Would luv to add more 'stuff' to myu stash. Thanks for the offer.Ruth

  5. I love blog hops! thanks for joining this one. I find so many interesting blogs! I like to use lace and buttons sometimes. You can find such cute buttons now!

  6. I haven't started quilting yet, but I do love to embellish my other projects (children's clothes, toys, etc) with antique buttons, lace, ribbons, etc. that have been handed down to me as well as with hand embroidery.

  7. For bed quilts I only embellish with fabric and thread components but for wall quilts I use beads, buttons and even fabric glitter sometimes.

  8. I like to use embroidery… sometimes buttons… sometimes rick rack. Wonderful giveaway! Thanks for the chance! Have a Nice Day! 🙂

  9. I love to embellish and have used beads on a mini christmas quilt buttons and bells on a cat quilt and I have bought a lovely panel just to embellish. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  10. Hi Janice…I have the biggest scrap bag of threads, old buttons, new hand-made buttons and snippets of threads used in my art quilts, and I love to recycle them into new 12 x 12 quilts that can be donated to Guilds for prize draws, gifted to friends or dropped off randomly at our local hospital when I have a minute to visit patients on a whim. I use my embellisher with the bits to create fabric and then create many small quilts and postcard sized pieces with lots of embellishments. Your beads and buttons would be a GREAT addition to my little scrappy quilts.Bethany Garner in lovely, summer-ending Kingston ON Canada

  11. I've never embellished a quilt before. That being said, I joined a sequins blog hop (Sequintastic September at Saturday Sequins) and I'm planning to embellish a mini with sequins. (And I should probably do that very very soon.)

  12. I am new to quilting I started this year. As such I have not started getting bold enough to add embellishes to my quilts yet. I follow a few blogs that do and I am fascinated by it and would like to give it a try. I am a new follower and will I hope learn a bit about it from you.

  13. Hello Janice,I have, on occassion; make small Crazy Quilt blocks or other small projects for swapping and/or for myself. I love the endless possiblities that one can use in Crazy Quilting thus making each piece it's own masterpiece. I have used yarn, buttons, charms, ribbons, laces, beads, brooches, whatever I find interesting. Thank You for the chance to win this wonderful package of embellishments.Sincerely,Tricia

  14. I am only on my second quilt. The first one was tied. This one is a hand pieced hexagon quilt, and I am now in the process of hand quilting it. I have never embellished a quilt. Well, I did add buttons to a wall hanging once.

  15. Well, I don't embellish many quilts, but a few have had buttons on them…and I've used embroidery thread on them as well. =) Thanks for a chance to win.

  16. I really love hand stitching on my quilts. I am currently working on a quilt that will require some beading. I haven't seen too many embellishments I don't like.

  17. Up to a week ago I was only a machine-quilted kind of gal. I am in a secret swap and for my partner I decided to hand quilt (about 90% of it) her mini quilt and I must say it was theraputic for me so I think I will be considering a full size quilt quilted by hand next time! I've used beads on name tags and when I was a teen I had a bead loom and beaded bracelets and lanyards – so I am a huge fan of embellishments like beads and buttons 🙂

  18. I havent embelleshed my quilts with anything other than thread. Im new, but I do love beads and buttons.quilting[dash]lady[at]comcast[dot]net

  19. I have only used buttons on my quilts. But I have seen some great ones that have used iron on gems. They look so wonderful. I plan on trying that one day.

  20. I have used beads and buttons on a lot of my projects, but I also make a lot of baby quilts, so I do hand embroidery on them. Thank you for your giveaway.
